Clubs Manager

 

Position Summary: 

The convivial service of bar service and cocktail service staff and bar managers in the Concert Hall, Amphitheater and Rialto with a dotted line to the bar staff of the Restaurant.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inventory and Ordering Process:
    • Tracking bar inventories (Pars)
    • Placing written requisition orders
    • Checks storeroom perpetual inventory
    • Places orders with suppliers as needed
    • Negotiate pricing with suppliers
    • Receive, check, and enter items into the perpetual inventory upon arrival
    • Ensure that fiscal paperwork is processed for bookkeeping and payment
    • Pricing and Sales Transactions
      • Determine and set drink prices with RM and Executive Management
      • Relays pricing to bartenders and is responsible for the entering of the price information into the POS System.
      • Handles final daily or shift sales totals, places POS receipts in the company safe, and does blind checkouts with bartenders
      • Loss Prevention and Maximizing Profit
        • Prevent product loss through company control practices
        • Maximize profit by:
          • Utilizing and analyzing POS data derived by comparing inventory with individual bartender sales and total sales
          • Take appropriate action if numerical estimates indicate a drop in profits due to inventory discrepancies (bartenders are advised by beverage managers on how to improve)
          • Teaches and ensures that all Bartenders follow protocol for:
            • Ensuring customers are charged properly
            • Steps of Service are followed
            • Drink recipes are followed
            • Appropriate beverage knowledge is expected
            • Bartender Management
              • Assign bartender shifts and extend schedules, monitor time, attendance, and performance sheets of bartenders
              • Ensuring that the bartenders report for duty punctually and work their assigned number of hours, and adheres to all company policies pertaining to attendance and general work policies
              • Dispense appropriated disciplinary action when necessary

 

Qualifications:

Licensing and Certification

Alcohol Awareness:  Legal Requirements for licensing and certification are somewhat limited however being certified in an Alcohol Awareness or Responsible Vending program are preferred. In Arkansas, there is no state law requiring licensing or certification for bar tenders or beverage managers. We seek certifications provided by third-party course programs approved by the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

 

 

Preference of a degree in Restaurant or Hospitality Management or time and experience in the industry with a high level of performance.  Many colleges and universities (over 1,000) offer bachelor's degrees in restaurant and hospitality management.

Those candidates with associate's degree may also be considered as are candidates from technical institutes and community colleges where programs leading to a formal certification in restaurant management exist. The curriculum for both programs will usually include classes in business, computer science and accounting.

 

Compensation:

 

Commensurate with experience.
